Studio Sakaia was founded in Dubai in 2019 with a single conviction: that restraint, applied with precision, produces interiors of lasting depth.
We work on a small number of residences and commercial projects each year — across the UAE and Europe. The studio takes each commission from brief to handover, maintaining design control across every decision.
Our material vocabulary leans toward natural stone, aged plasters, solid timbers and hand-applied finishes. The palette is usually quiet. The objects are chosen once, carefully.
Madalina trained in architecture and interior design before founding Studio Sakaia. Her approach is shaped by a belief that good interiors are not designed but edited — refined through successive decisions that remove rather than add.
She leads every project personally, from the first client conversation through to final installation. The studio does not take on more work than this allows.
